Chillar Party Movie Review

As the title ‘Chillar Party’ suggests the film is about all the ‘chillars’ aka the kids in the film and let us tell you they will win your hearts at once. Kids however still learning the notes of life teach their elders quite handful of lessons for life. The ‘gang’ of Mumbai’s ‘Chandan Society’ declare a fight to save their friend ‘Bhidu’ a stray dog that’s the only companion of their society’s car washer Fatka (Irrfan Khan). The story goes this way, a local minister passes a law to kill and get away with all the stray dogs strolling on Mumbai streets. It is this decision that the kids decide to oppose in a very unusual way. In the course they make the elders realize of their improper antics. The highlight of the film is the ‘Chaddi March’ that has innumerable kids strolling Mumbai streets in their bare minimums.

The writer-director duo Vikas Bahl and Nitesh Tiwari have done an impeccable job with a simplistic story as well as powerful narration of it. The kids namely ‘Jhangya’, ‘Silencer’, ‘Akram’ are just the few masters of the clan as you wouldn’t fail to notice each simple character in the film. Amit Trivedi’s music is rocking and the highlight ‘Tain Tain Phish’ is just super entertaining. Nevertheless the performances by the younger lot will over shadow even Ranbir’s flawless ‘Item Number’. The lil stars definitely will give a tough competition to the stars as with this film on the block last week’s releases will see a little less business. Imran Khan starrer ‘Delhi Belly’ and Amitabh starrer ‘Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap’ will definitely take the back seat once ‘Chillar Party’ spreads it magic on audiences.

Producer Salman Khan might be on high post the success of his action-comedy films but this one ‘if’ sets the cash registers ringing will definitely make him a proud man. Not only Salman but anyone who sees the film will leave them with a happy feeling. No Wonder Bollywood’s ‘Rockstar’ Ranbir too decided to do the ‘Tapori’ item number to end the film on a high.

The film is a perfect treat as it can be watched by any and every age group and we assure it will not leave you disappointed.
