Ranbir, Nargis and Deepika Party Under The Same Roof 

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, his ex-girlfriend Deepika Padukone and his rumoured current girlfriend Nargis Fakhri appeared together at Chivas bash in Mumbai.

It could not get better when Deepika, Nargis and Ranbir sent the grapevine buzzing when they appeared for the party. The occasion was a celebrity management company's anniversary bash and all three of them were present at the do.

While the awesome threesome took the centre stage at the party, other stars too shone bright.

The first to enter was Deepika. She posed for the shutterbugs and then interacted with the media. While she was doing so, Nargis entered.

Nargis looked nervous in front of the cameras so Deepika decided to step up and come to her rescue. Holding Nargis's hand, she led her to the lounge area.

Deepika had the best things to say about Ranbir. Asked about him also coming to the party, she said, "Yes, and I am really looking forward."

"Rockstar is really good. He is a brilliant actor. And we start shooting for our film in January," she said in reply to another question.

While the girls were being friendly, Ranbir seemed to avoid meeting them.

Asked about Deepika and Nargis's presence inside the party venue, Ranbir reacted: "Really? Haven't seen them."

However, he too decided to return Deepika's compliment.

"Whoever I have worked with is really liking the film. Feels great... Looking forward to working with Deepika," Ranbir said.

Ranveer, Sonakshi to star in Lootera

The Dev D and Udaan gang is back with a bang. India’s first ‘director’s production house’ – Phantom – helmed by Vikas Bahl, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane has announced its first venture, Lootera.

To be directed by Motwane, the film stars Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha.

Interestingly, it’s almost a homecoming of sorts for Motwane, since his first directorial was produced by mentor Kashyap and Bahl.

“All of us, including Madhu Mantena (partner), really enjoy working with each other. And the idea is to do things freely — while making films — without any pressure. Lootera is the perfect launch pad for Phantom because it’s a unique and quirky tale,” says Bahl.

The film will be shot in West Bengal and the hilly regions around that area. It will also bring back Dev D music composer Amit Trivedi for the soundtrack. “Amit is trying to capture the essence of the era and yet make it sound contemporary in his signature style,” says a unit member.

Lootera will be Ranveer’s first film outside the Yash Raj Films banner, which has produced his debut film, Band Baaja Baraat, and the upcoming Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. If the rumour mills are to be believed, Singh and Sinha are dating each other, though neither has never confirmed it.

The industry is abuzz with the news that Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza's plan to get married in February. Though none of them have confirmed it yet, the actress has not denied it either. "I will speak about it when the time comes. I am definitely going to talk about it but not today, some other day. Some other time for sure, I will talk about it at length," said Genelia at a fashion event here Wednesday.

Genelia and Riteish have been seen as a couple ever since the duo made their Bollywood debut in Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003. However, neither of them have ever publicly acknowledged their relationship.

Recently she linked up with her Force co-star John Abraham. Rumours notwithstanding, the 24-year-old is riding high after the success of Force and has got meaty projects likeTere Naal Love Ho Gaya with Riteish and Rock The Shaadi with Abhay Deol.

Shakira spells magic over Udaipur

The ambiance of Udaipur on Tuesday was charged with exuberance and euphoria when the ravishing ‘Waka Waka’ girl Shakira came to the city for the birthday brawl of real estate magnate, K.P. Singh, CEO and Chairman of DLF Limited.

The Colombian pop singer came in a charted plane on Monday evening dressed in a black jacket and straightaway headed from the airport to the Udaivilas, disappointing her various fans who could just have a short glimpse of her.

This was Shakira’s second visit to India after she first came in 2007.

Shakira was appointed as the goodwill ambassador of UNICEF in 2003 and to promote her current cause of spreading education especially amongst the adolescent girls, she has in the past as well, visited many places across the globe.

To uphold the same, on Tuesday, earlier in the day, she met 13 adolescent girls from Kasturba Gandhi Awasiya Balika Vidhalaya at State Institute of Education Research and Training (SIERT), which is about 25kms from Udaipur.

During an half an hour session, she discussed with them issues concerning their life and education. These tribal girls are of age ranging from 7-14 years and most of them study in 1st to 7th standard.

All of them were happy to have met and spoken to a superstar like her.

Geetanjali Master, communication manager for UNICEF, told a daily that the way the singer connected with the girls was inspiring for them.
Even her twitter account said, “Educating girls improves farming, reduces malnutrition, child mortality and boosts economic growth @unicefus” and “In Udaipur (India) 96,000 children don't go to school. 60% of them are girls. @unicefusa @barefootfound @fpiesdescalzos”

Later in the day, as scheduled, she gave a dazzling performance in the grand affair of Singh which took place at Jag Mandir situated on an island in Pichola Lake.

However, the only who’s who of Bollywood present at the party were Kabir Bedi, who took over to play the host and Adnan Sami, who too performed his famous numbers like Kabhi to nazar milao and Lift karade and set the mood for the evening.

But what left the eyeballs rolling was Shakira’s performance which included her much acclaimed numbers like Hips don’t lie and Waka Waka. Needless to say, at the end of her performance the audience was left spellbound and adding to the magic she even said, “Shukriya, I love Udaipur!

Earlier there were reports that footballer David Beckham and his designer wife Victoria Beckham along with Bollywood celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Hritik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor will also attend the function but none of them were traced at the event. It was only Shakira’s magic that was everywhere.

Gowda sidestepped a query on why the party has not initiated action against some of its legislators who have thrown their lot behind Sreeramulu, saying, "so far nobody has compained. But will take action if we receive such complaints".

Meanwhile, the electoral authorities have decided to deploy siezeable contingents of para military forces to provide security cover for the bypoll.

BSF and Indo Tibetan Border Security Force would be on duty in the poll-bound areas from November 24, Karnataka Joint Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Arya told reporters in Bellary after reviwing the election arrangements.

The authorities have set up eight check posts and 18 teams are keeping vigil on whether the model code of conduct is being adhered to, he said.
